Sterling K. Brown as Wadsworth

Arguably the lead of Clue, Wadsworth is Mr. Boddy’s butler and plays host to the rest of the cast once his boss meets his untimely doom. Wadsworth is high-strung and uppity, but he is also prone to morose comments and snide remarks, especially toward the house guests. In the original film, Wadsworth is played by the legendary Tim Curry, so for the remake, we couldn’t choose an actor who was anything less than legendary.

Enter Sterling K. Brown. If you’ve seen his Emmy-nominated guest appearance on Brooklyn Nine-Nine, then you already know that he has no trouble pulling off a high-strung criminal mastermind — and he’s pretty damn funny while he’s doing it.

With an SNL hosting gig under his belt and an upcoming guest-starring role on The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, we know that he’s more than worthy of filling Tim Curry’s shoes for our movie. Though he may be a little sexier than the O.G Wadsworth, we still think he’d be a great — if somewhat unorthodox — casting pick.
