The 1985 box office flop Clue went on to achieve cult status due to its off-the-wall sense of humor and memorable cast. With a remake already in the works, we’re taking a crack at casting it ourselves.

Though it may not have made a big splash at the time of its release, the 1985 film Clue has a legacy that’s still being written to this day. Based off of the Hasbro board game of the same name, Clue is a half-mystery, half-comedy film starring Tim Curry, Christopher Lloyd, and Madeline Kahn. The film was released with multiple endings and each one randomly selected to be shown at theatres, mimicking the board game’s unpredictability.

Following the same plot as the board game, the Clue movie centered on a group of eccentric guests invited to a house party, all of whom wind up being caught in a whodunit after the host of the evening, Mr. Boddy, is found dead.

Clue wasn’t a critical or box office success, but over the years, the film has developed something of a cult following. In 2018 it was announced that, as part of a film deal with Fox, Ryan Reynolds would be involved with a remake of the movie — and since then we haven’t been able to stop thinking about what the cast of a modern-day Clue movie would look like.

So, without further ado, here’s who we would cast in a present-day version of Clue.
