Her Universe is the ultimate fangirl apparel brand, and its new Harry Potter line contains must-wear clothing and accessories for Muggles heading to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

Is your closet filled with Her Universe apparel? Founded by Ashley Eckstein, the ultimate fangirl brand captures the vibe that  fangirls want. These clothes aren’t men’s T-shirts, just in a size small. Each look epitomizes fans’ connection to the SFF world, while also celebrating the feminine, stylish, fashion-forward looks that girls want to wear.

And ahead of this year’s San Diego Comic Con, Her Universe announced a new Harry Potter collection. While the brand has worked with Star Wars, Marvel and other franchises, this marks its first collaboration with the Wizarding World.

These three new dresses are inspired by three iconic Harry Potter characters: Hermione Granger, Luna Lovegood, and Fleur Delacour. Each dress has an air of femininity but doesn’t lose sight of the character reference, nor do any of them diminish the strength that each of these characters possesses.

The Hermione dress is inspired by her look from the Yule Ball in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. The dress has a sweetness to it, with the flutter sleeves and ruffles. Still, the pinks aren’t juvenile. This dress represents a fangirl who knows who she is and stands proud of it, just like Hermione at the ball. For some fangirls, this outfit could be the perfect choice for a dance or special occasion.

The Luna dress is inspired by Luna’s look at the Slug Club Christmas Party. (She was Harry’s date if you don’t remember.) This dress conveys a sense of coolness, but it sets itself apart from the crowd. Definitely not meant for sleepwalking, this dress has a sense of ease yet is quite versatile.

And lastly, the Fleur Delacour dress is the most dramatic. Did you stop and watch the movie in full attention when Fleur announced herself at Hogwarts for the Triwizard Tournament? Based on the outfit she wore then, this dress might be the most clear reference to the stories. The addition of a caplet is also quite interesting. Not too many girls would don a caplet, but true fangirls will gladly snap up this dress. Who knows, this piece could start a whole new fashion trend.

In a way, all these looks go back to Eckstein’s concept of “yes, you can.” When people told her to just put on a men’s size small T-shirt and be happy, she said no and found another way. Although her path might not have been a perfectly shiny yellow brick road, she did follow her dreams.

This new Harry Potter line gives fangirls a way to see themselves in those iconic characters. While people have often purchased wands at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, these looks allow girls to channel those characters in new ways.

Maybe these dresses will give a girl the confidence to stand tall at a school dance when she might have wanted to hide in the corner before. Or maybe that Luna-inspired dress will tell a girl that it is OK to be the unique flower in the field of commonality.

Her Universe celebrates girls who know who they are and are proud to celebrate themselves. From Harry Potter fans to Star Wars fans, these girls boldly tell the world, “We are fans, we have opinions, and you’ll listen to our voices.”

The new Her Universe Harry Potter dresses are available online and will be shown at San Diego Comic Con. The dresses retail for $125. Since the dresses are available for a limited time, it is best to purchase one soon.
