Young Justice: Outsiders episode 17 live stream: Watch online

Young Justice: Outsiders episode 17 will feature some mayhem from the Reach, but we know that isn’t the only villainy going on this week.

With the growing horde of superheroes and villains on this season alone, this week’s Young Justice: Outsiders episode is aptly titled. “First Impression” will introduce us to yet another new character, but our intuition tells us that the roster isn’t done growing.

What’s that old saying again? When the Justice League is away, the Reach will play. Yeah, that sounds right. Either way, yet another distraction will deter the Outsiders from their intergalactic-heroic endeavors this week. According to the episode synopsis, that distraction will include the Reach:

"The Reach are back, terrorizing smalltown America… unless the Outsiders can stop them!"

Who knew a single sentence could be so ominous? Granted, we shouldn’t be surprised. Even with all the hints and foreshadowing, we’re still shocked by the latest twists on Young Justice.

Seeing as the ongoing meta-human trafficking takes the precedence over other dangers, it seems like the Reach is exploiting the Outsiders’ weakness: The lack of experience heroes and overall meta-human power.

With most of the Justice League gone, Earth has to rely on the Outsiders and their growing band of meta-human teens. The Reach is in on the meta-human trafficking. Knowing that the team of heroes is running on minimal resources or at least inexperienced meta-humans, we’re more interested in what the Reach’s motives are with this obvious distraction.

Perhaps more brainwashed meta-human heists are on the way. Or maybe Tara’s nefarious storyline will start to kickup in the background of this week’s mayhem. Regardless, we just know that the Reach is more stealthy with their missions and this “smalltown terror” seems a bit too obvious for their tone.
