Alex Guarnaschelli

Up first, no list of celebrity female chefs is complete without including Alex Guarnaschelli. Not only has she been an Iron Chef, but she has cooked and judged on a number of Food Network shows. But, that’s not all that makes her someone we want to sit down and share a meal with.

How interesting would it be to chat with Guarnaschelli about writing her own cookbook after growing up with a cookbook editor as a mother? Plus, her history includes cooking in amazing places in Los Angeles, New York, and France. All of this experience is enough to make us want to sit down and listen to stories of her travel and work.

And while we would certainly want to learn more about what it is like to run a restaurant, it would be fascinating to learn more about what it is like to take part in cooking competitions as well. There is also the fact that Alex Guarnaschelli had to compete and beat out a number of amazing chefs to become an Iron Chef, which is the kind of discussion that would be inspiring and eye-opening. (And yes, my question is what is it like having to live up to the title of Iron Chef, especially on shows like Guy’s Grocery Games where her moniker is the ICAG.)

Having watched chef Guarnaschelli for years on the Food Network, she always comes across as down to Earth, humble, and passionate. And these are all amazing qualities in a woman who has clearly proven time and time again that she is one of the best chefs around. This is why she has to top my list of celebrity female chefs we would love to dine with.
