Swamp Thing episode 4 preview: Even more action
After last week’s iconic monster vs. monster action scene, we can expect even more threats and fighting sequences on Swamp Thing episode 4.
From Blue Devil’s background arc last week to introducing one of the most creepy villains, we’re still collecting ourselves from last week’s episode.
Swamp Thing continues to deliver romance, horror, and comic accuracy every week, and we know this week won’t be any different. Given the tense concluding confrontation between Avery and Liz last week, Swamp Thing‘s fourth episode will give us more mystery and some more comic book callouts.
Still, without any episode-specific trailers, we doubt DC’s video of the origins of the first Swamp Thing will give us any hints for this week’s episode. After all, the first Guardian of the Green had nothing to do with Alec Holland. However, Alex’s run as Swamp Thing still has similar elements to Alec’s run as the Guardian — both with their unconditional love and their protective instinct.
While we’ve already seen the origin of the DC Universe show’s incarnation of the foliage-covered hero, there’s still a lot to learn about Alec and Swamp Thing. Judging by the week’s preview photos, we’re getting into the thick of the romance… as well as some other things.
Yep, we’re talking about that thirst imagine. Swampy should rebrand his moniker to Thicc Thing. (Listen, everyone has made jokes about this, so we’re allowed this one.)
Beyond our shameless thirst over Swampy — who’s basically everyone’s boyfriend at this point (sorry, Abby Arcane), we can expect even more action. Hopefully, this week’s squabble will revival the monster vs. monster scene from last week. After all, we just want to see Abby and Alec/Swampy fight side by side again, defending each other.
You can’t blame us for defending our ship. Abby and Alec have undeniable chemistry and respect for one another even in such a short time. But with more threats, we still trust Swamp Thing to uphold the necessary balance.
We couldn’t ask for more after the first three episodes introduced the Rot and a couple of other formidable antagonists. However, we trust that Swamp Thing will exceed our expectations again. Everything aside, we’re just glad that Harlan is feeling better.
