Allie Weber

If you were a fan of Mythbusters, then you may recognize Allie Weber, as she is the host of Mythbusters Jr. But it is not just her hosting duties that make this 13-year-old so impressive. In fact, there is a lot about Weber that makes her one of our empowering women.

On top of her work with the Discovery Channel, the co-host is also an inventor with at least one patent pending as of February of 2019. And that is pretty impressive for a teenager who is also still in school while working on a TV show.

When she was 5, Allie Weber asked her parents if she could build a robot for her school’s science fair. Although they said no, the next year, the young girl decided that with or without permission, she was going to make a robot. And so, the recycled Robie the Robot was born.

As an inventor, Weber is a part of the STEM field and is hoping that the future sees people just accepting that women can be scientists, researchers, and mathematicians, with no one making a big deal over it. But for now, she is hoping that being visible in the public eye makes it so that girls younger than her realize that they can be the next scientist, astronaut or whatever else they want to be.

Considering how young she is, Allie Weber is already inspiring a generation, and that is impressive. No matter how old you are, you have to love how much this teenager is doing to make a difference in the world.
