Jurassic Park River Adventure

Life finds a way at Jurassic Park River Adventure at Universal’s Islands of Adventure. If you love the original Jurassic Park or are into Jurassic World, you’re going to love this ride. You start off by going through a queue that’s filled with lush greenery and a scale replica of Jurassic Park.

Your boat ride starts off pretty calm as you glide past different plant-eating dinosaurs. As you continue on your journey through Jurassic Park, your boat takes a sudden turn into a restricted area of the park. Sirens are going off, loud noises are everywhere, and there are signs a dinosaur might have escaped.

The restricted area seems to be where the dangerous creatures are kept. The only option to escape a T. Rex is to take an 85-foot drop down to the base of the building! If you want to check out this drop before you get on the ride, there is a viewing platform just to the left of the entrance to Jurassic Park River Adventure.

Because this ride has such a big drop, you might want to consider bringing a disposable poncho with you to wear, or ask the team member assigning rows to sit in the back towards the middle of the boat. Guests must be 42 inches to experience the attraction, and it does offer rider swap. There are some elements that might be scary for younger kids like the loud sirens and dinosaurs that pop up throughout the restricted area of the attraction.
