Adam comes into his anti-Christ powers

Seeing Adam come into his powers as the anti-Christ might just be one of the more interesting moments of the fourth episode of Good Omens. Not only do we see him finally accepting who he is, even as he has no clue what this means, but we also watch as he not only ensnares his own friends, but also causes a freak storm.

The storm that Adam brings about includes a tornado, which is something that is not to be expected in this small town. Moreover, his powers manifesting seems to happen after he sees a drawing of the devil; that makes the moment that much more impactful.

It’s entirely unexpected that just a drawing would be what allows Adam to realize his destiny. And then once he does, he embraces his abilities so quickly that it is almost frightening.

In no time, Adam has his friends under his control, and he even cuts off their ability to speak. He is able to levitate in the air, which is a fantastical sight to begin with. Basically, in a matter of moments, we go from a sweet, young boy with a wild curiosity to the anti-Christ.

Even his hellhound seems surprised by this swift change, and the whimper he releases is one of pure shock. Of course, for the pup in question, this has been his mission all along, so he remains at Adam’s side throughout all of this.

Destiny may be at play in this moment, but it was still quite shocking realizing how quickly things changed thanks to a simple twist of fate — and, of course, a drawing.
