Four Horsemen showdown

Perhaps one of the greatest moments in the entirety of Good Omens is when Adam and his three friends have their showdown with the Four Horsemen of the apocalypse. Not only do four children basically stop the apocalypse, but they do so by speaking their own truths.

Not only do they speak out against famine, war, and pollution, but Adam is even able to reason with Death (although death is not something that can be destroyed). From the flaming sword (yes, the same one that Aziraphale gives to Adam and Eve back at the Garden of Eden) to their steadfast convictions, these children are fierce in the face of certain destruction.

We get to see the Four Horsemen taken down, and it is not done with the help of angels or demons. Instead, it’s the innocence of children that defeats the apocalypse.

Of course, this moment is fated to happen once Adam decides to go against his anti-Christ nature. After all, Adam is originally meant to bring about the apocalypse, and once he decides not to do that thanks to his friends’ intervention, it’s only a matter of time before he has to face the Horsemen.
