What We Do in the Shadows season finale live stream: Watch online
By Lacy Baugher
FX’s What We Do in the Shadows continues this Wednesday. Here’s everything you need to know to watch “Ancestry” online and not miss a minute.
It’s true: The finale of What We Do in the Shadows’ first season is upon us. Somehow. Already.
After a bit of a bumpy start, the little vampire comedy that could has managed to turn itself into an unexpected bright spot in my week, what with its offbeat tone, weirdo characters and utter dedication to upending every trope we expect from this supernatural genre.
Over the course of season 1, we’ve seen our roommates commit vampire murder, go on trial before a celebrity tribunal, host an orgy, and get picked up by Animal Control in bat form.
Where does it go from here? Your guess is as good as ours.
(Happily, though, the series has already been picked up for a second season so we’ll all get the chance to find out.)
But given the high-key dramatics of the most recent episodes, the season 1 finale sounds pretty tame.
"Nandor visits one of his living descendants, and a lover from Nadja’s past re-emerges."
However, if this turns out to be anything like Nandor’s attempt to become an American citizen, that’s probably fine.
In other news, in case you — like me — have been feeling the lack of significant Colin Robinson time over the past few weeks, FX is here for us. They’re releasing a new web series called “Adult Bedtime Stories” featuring Colin reading extremely boring books on camera, in the hopes of helping us all sleep better.
(And also to pilot a new method for energy vampires to feed, IDK.)
Colin remains the best, is what I’m saying.
