Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger season 2 finale preview: Let’s fight a god

Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger reaches its second season finale tonight. Can Tandy and Tyrone save New Orleans from yet another city-wide catastrophe?

It’s been fun, this second season of Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger. I know I’ve brought it up a lot in my previews and reviews, but the show really seemed to find its footing in these last ten episodes.

At the very least, we haven’t had to sit through Tandy and Tyrone getting mad at each other and storming out every single episode.

So what does the season two finale have in store for us? Here is the official synopsis for the season finale episode, “Level Up,” courtesy of Freeform:

"In the action-packed season finale, Tyrone and Tandy head to the Loa dimension to stop the evil force threatening New Orleans. To finally put an end to it, they must come face to face with their own personal issues that have been holding them back. Meanwhile, Mayhem and Evita do their best to hold off the dangers in the real dimension."

So it’s officially called the Loa dimension instead of the Darkforce dimension. But potatoes, potatoes, right?

Well, Andre ascended to a god status at the end of last episode, playing the infamous blue note. And now the entire city is in danger of turning into crazy, despair-ridden zombies.

That’s not a good thing.

It’s the same threat as the end of last season, but still terrifying enough to warrant Tandy and Tyrone trying to take him down from the dark-side of things.

I’m excited to see the team-up of Mayhem and Evita. Evita’s been a pleasant addition this season, cropping up when we need a bit of voodoo to power things forward. And with Mayhem in control and by her side to protect her, I’m pretty sure Tandy and Tyrone will be able to make it through.

We’ll have to wait and see what else Cloak and Dagger tries to throw at us in this season finale!
