Avatar Flight of Passage, a 3-D thrilling adventure set to open on Pandora Ð The World of Avatar at DisneyÕs Animal Kingdom, offers guests the chance to connect with an avatar and soar on a banshee over Pandora. The journey begins in the queue, as guests get a peek inside a high-tech research lab to view an avatar still in its growth state inside an amnio tank. Avatar Flight of Passage
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park has some of the most intricately themed and detailed attractions in theme park history. One of the newest attractions at the park is Avatar Flight of Passage. When guests journey inside Pandora – The World of Avatar they are greeted by massive floating mountains, waterfalls, music of the Navi and the smell of burning wood from Satu’li Canteen. The main draw for guests going into this land is Avatar Flight of Passage.
While the line for this attraction can get very long very quickly, the wait is worth the reward. Guests start out walking through the detailed land of the floating mountains, which boasts incredible panoramic views of Pandora. Then they will walk through historic Navi caves where the story of the land is told. Guests will be sorted into groups to experience this attraction and go through two pre-show rooms where you will meet your guide, Dr. Jackie Ogden. Once on the ride vehicle, which looks like a motorcycle you’ll take a breathtaking journey through Pandora and see some of its most dangerous creatures, and its most beautiful landscapes.
This attraction is great for families and people seeking thrills. It is highly recommended to get a FastPass+ reservation for the experience since the line starts getting long right when the park opens each day. If you or anyone in your party is prone to motion sickness, it might be best to sit this one out since it is quite realistic with sudden drops and turns.
