7. Deadshot

Another Suicide Squad bad guy to come in towards the top of our list has to be Deadshot. On the one hand, he is a villain with heart. But his heart is his daughter. And the fact is that while he will do anything for his daughter, beyond her, he is a ruthless assassin.

In terms of his character, Deadshot is one of the well-written DC villains in this massive team up. We understand his motivations, his dislike of Batman, and so much more. We also got to see him in action both before he was captured and jailed, and after as part of the Suicide Squad. And of course, we can’t forget the fact that we watched him interact with the members of his team and act as a leader of sorts.

Sometimes watching Deadshot on-screen, you forgot for a minute that he was technically a villain, but then he would do or say something that reminded you all over again. And perhaps that is what makes him such a good bad guy. He was able to make you forget that he is a mercenary with the ability to kill people with very little remorse or hesitation.

Deadshot is one of those DC villains that anyone would want to watch out for. It feels like he could convince you that you were safe with him, right before he betrayed you. And yet, watching him with the rest of the squad it felt like he could potentially be a team player, if he really wanted to be.

It says a lot about the way the character was written that it is hard to completely pigeon-hole Deadshot as an ultimate bad guy. But at the end of the day, if he was paid to kill you he would do it with no hesitation, no matter who you are to him.
