The Game of Thrones series finale is finally upon us. How will Sansa Stark come out in the end? Based on fan theories, we can make a few predictions.

It’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for. The series finale of Game of Thrones is almost here and based on the past few episodes, anything could happen. No one has ever been safe on Game of Thrones, but after last week, that seems especially true.

But what will happen to the Lady of Winterfell, Sansa Stark? Here are a few predictions on how Sunday might go…

Brought to King’s Landing to face trial

One does not defy Daenerys Targaryen and face no consequences. And Sansa Stark has certainly defied the Queen of Dragons. Whether she goes on trial for telling Tyrion about Jon Snow’s origins or throwing shade while talking to Dany, Sansa has shown little to no respect for Daenerys.

Now that Daenerys has gone full Mad Queen, it could be time for Sansa to pay the price. The Dragon Queen will have Sansa brought to King’s Landing to face trial and if the Queen has her way, execution.

Takes the Iron Throne

There is also a distinct possibility Sansa could take the Iron Throne for herself. If Daenerys kills Jon for a real or perceived betrayal, Sansa is the last logical person to take the throne. She may not want it, but Tyrion and Varys (before his untimely death) ,have been talking about how the best ruler may just be one who doesn’t want to rule.

It may have been Jon they were talking about, but they could have easily been talking about Sansa too. She is logical, empathetic, and caring. Through ruling the people of the North, she has proven herself worthy of leading the people. And if Jon dies and Arya kills Daenerys, Sansa could easily take the Iron Throne.

Queen of the North

There is also a very real possibility that Sansa stays exactly where she is and where she belongs: in Winterfell. If Jon takes the Iron Throne and kills Daenerys for the destruction she wielded on King’s Landing or for trying to kill one of his sisters, it makes sense for Sansa to be the Queen of the North. Jon knows that is where she is most comfortable and it’s clear the people already adore her.
