Game of Thrones finale: 4 predictions for Daenerys Targaryen

The Game of Thrones series finale is finally here and Daenerys is as far gone as we’ve ever seen her. What will happen to her in the end?

The series finale of Game of Thrones is finally here and there is no doubt that the Daenerys we met in the first couple of seasons is long gone, replaced with The Mad Queen.

Whether you loved or hated Daenerys’s destruction of King’s Landing, it will be interesting to see what her ultimate fate will be.

Can she be pulled back from the brink? Or is it too late for that?

Here are a few predictions on what might happen to the Queen of Dragons in the final episode.

Takes over Westeros in fire and ash

After last week’s episode, Daenerys may not have many people left to rule but she will sit on the Iron Throne and rule the Seven Kingdoms (at least for a little bit). While we saw a bit of mercy and empathy at the beginning of the episode, there will be none of that this week. She will fully be the Mad Queen.

Her vision from season 2 will become her reality. That wasn’t snow she saw raining down from the sky; it was ash and it’s completely of her own making. Everything she never wanted to become has come to pass. She will loved by few and feared by many.

Kill Tyrion

After witnessing the terror the Queen of Dragons rained down on the people of King’s Landing, Tyrion will no longer try to reason with her. He will betray her and she’ll find out. She clearly has her people and her spies everywhere.

He will meet the same fate as Spymaster Varys. Daenerys will get Drogon to burn him alive and he will join the rest of his family in the after life.

Kills Jon and killed by Arya

After seeing the death and destruction Daenerys caused, Jon will finally see his love/aunt for who she really is. He will betray her and try to take her throne away. But it will be too late for him. After he refused her love last week, Dany has no more mercy for her man of the North.

His one time love will execute him, most likely via Drogon. But that doesn’t mean Daenerys is safe. She said herself that Jon has the love and loyalty of so many people and those people will do what they can to avenge him. But there is only one person who can actually kill her and that’s Arya.

And if Arya kills Daeenrys, she’ll have fulfilled Melisandre’s prophecy.

Killed by Jon

There is one other scenario that could play out that would lead to Daenerys’ death.

Jon refused to listen to anyone about what the Queen was clearly becoming and it is time he cleaned up his own mess. He saw what his trust in Daenerys caused and there is only one way he can fix it. He must kill the Queen of Dragons and become a bigger legend than he already is. Once he kills Daenerys, he will become the Queenslayer and possibly rule over the Seven Kingdoms. That is, if the guilt doesn’t consume him and forces him to leave Westeros forever.
