Hamish Bowles

If you are unfamiliar with Hamish Bowles, he is a fashion journalist and Vogue‘s European editor-at-large for the American edition of the magazine. And with Vogue helping to put this event on, we are certainly not surprised to see him walking the pink carpet in his own rendition of a camp look.

As a man who knows fashion, we expect him to go big and he did. For the 2019 Met Gala, Bowles gave us life! Not only did he rock what felt like every color possible, but the fact that his larger-than-life overcoat features not only excessive fringe, but also a hot pink poodle print (I’m in love and I don’t know why) means that he is definitely one of the campiest men to walk the pink carpet (although there are at least two other men who gave him a run for his money).

And the fact that underneath this stunner of a coat we can see a purple suit with a matching bow tie means that Hamish Bowles thought of every aspect of his look from top to bottom. But we would expect nothing less from the man who is at the heart of fashion on a day-to-day basis.
