Spider-Man: Far From Home’s next trailer needs to address these Endgame details

Spider-Man: Far From Home is due for a new trailer. And now that Avengers: Endgame is out, the new trailer needs to address what happens next.

Warning! This story contains spoilers for Avengers: Endgame.

A new Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer could be on the way, and it may finally answer some of those pre-Endgame questions we had when we saw the first trailer.

The new trailer, according to Trailer-Track, may come as early as next week — just in time for the Russo brothers to lift their Endgame spoilers ban (although that ship has honestly sailed a long time ago, on the internet). Now that we know what happens in between Infinity War and Far From Home thanks to Endgame, here are four details we’re hoping the Spider-Man trailer will address in the next trailer.

How does Peter Parker feel after the snap?

In Avengers: Endgame, a majority of the movie was spent with characters who survived snap and understanding how they deal with that trauma. Spider-Man: Far From Home is the first movie to come out following the reverse-snap, meaning we get to hear the snapped-away’s side of the story.

For a standalone movie, we’re not sure how much time will be devoted to addressing what happened after Infinity War. But it’d be a big elephant in the room to ignore if no one talked about the snap and how it’s affected them/how they’re adjusting to (basically) living in the future.

What happens now that Tony’s dead?

Back when the first trailer came out, we theorized that there was a good reason that Tony Stark didn’t appear in the trailer, even though he was essential in the first Spidey movie, Homecoming. Now we know for sure there legitimately was a good reason why Tony wasn’t in the Far From Home trailer, because he sacrificed his life to defeat Thanos in Endgame.

If the trailer’s going to include new information, they’ll have to be a bit more open about Tony Stark’s absence in Peter’s life because of his death. It may be a bit of a huge spoiler, depending on how it’s done, but even Endgame promotions had some spoilers after the first weekend (read: the Hulk is actually in the movie).

What do the Avengers look like now?

Or, what’s the state of superheroes after this massive blowout? With Mysterio supposedly a “good guy,” it may be possible that his story ties into the snap. Is he a concerned do-gooder who just wants to protect the world after seeing what Thanos did? Mysterio likely has ulterior motives, but it’d be interesting to see how heroes are handled in this post-Civil War, post-Endgame world.

Also, Is Spider-Man ready to hang up his suit after everything that happened? The first trailer hinted at this possibly being the case, with Peter looking at the suit in his closet sadly — as if something bad had happened.

What happened to the other school kids?

Seriously. With all the snapped away people projected five years into the future, this definitely means some kids graduated and moved on with life, while others will have to repeat the same grade. Coincidentally, it would just so happen that Peter’s closest classmates (including Ned) were also snapped away — otherwise, they’d be off in college somewhere.

We’d love to see a bit of humor in the trailer about Peter and his friends being stuck in high school. Because let’s face it, nobody wants to be stuck in high school longer than necessary.
