The Game of Thrones episode we’ve all been waiting for is almost here. How will the women of Westeros survive the fight? Let’s look at a few predictions.
It’s the episode of Game of Thrones we’ve all been waiting for. The battle between the White Walkers and most of living people of Westeros is here.
How will the main women of Westeros be fighting for their lives and the lives of the people they love? Here are a few predictions.
1. Sansa in the crypts
With episode 3 being the ultimate battle, Sansa will stick things out in the crypts (as confirmed by photos we analyzed for the upcoming episode). We may get a scene where Arya or Brienne give her some fighting tips but most of this episode will be her taking care of her people. She may not be a fighter but she is great at reassuring people and staying mentally strong. No matter what happens down there (even if long dead characters come back to life), she will get her people through it and she will survive.

2. Arya in battle
As we can see from the photo above, Arya and Sansa seem to have a discussion before the batle begins — and there’s no question our little assassin will be on the battlefield. Granted, this battle won’t be what Arya expects. She told Gendry she had seen the many faces of death but she has yet to see a White Walker. This will be the shock of her life. She’ll get over it of course (she is Arya), but it will be a moment of vulnerability we haven’t seen from her in awhile (besides her time with Gendry).
This also has to be the episode where she steals a face. Could she not steal the face of a White Walker and fight them off from inside their own ranks? Hey, we wouldn’t put it past her. With all her training, Arya makes it through this battle. It will be the fight of her life, but she makes it through.
(If they kill off Arya or Gendry, we riot!)

3. Daenerys on her dragons
At the end of episode 2, Daenerys received news she was never expecting. Her love, Jon Snow, could be the one person to take the Iron Throne away from her. While in normal circumstances she would distance herself from him (or have him killed), that cannot happen with thousands of White Walkers on their doorsteps. She will ride out to battle with the rest of troops and more than likely, be on the back of one of her dragons right in the middle of the fighting. She may be a queen, but she has never been one to shy away from battle.

4. Brienne in the thick of it
This is Brienne’s moment to shine. There is no one more prepared for this fight than Brienne. Sure, she’s never fought a White Walker, but she has the mental clarity and the skills to beat just about anyone. Unfortunately, her survival will mean that she has to watch many of the people she cares about die.

5. Brienne losing the ones she loves
Tormund, Jaime, and/or Podrick will die in this episode and it will crush Brienne. In her way, she has come to care about all of them. Even if she finds Tormund annoying, she doesn’t want him to die, But, with that raw emotion, she will rally and fight to win.
And, sorry to say, if we have to pick one person who Brienne cares about who is most likely to die, it’s probably going to be Podrick. We’ve seen very little of him since the final season began, and after him singing the fateful “Jenny’s Song” last Sunday, we have a bad feeling Podrick won’t make it through the Battle of Winterfell. The other big option here would be Jaime, but we have a feeling he’s going to be necessary post-battle to take down Cersei.
