The Twilight Zone season 1 episode 5 live stream: Watch online
The Twilight Zone episode 5 will dissect some of the childish policies in politics, and we’re looking forward to this sci-fi-induced discourse.
The Twilight Zone has a habit of using some supernatural and horrifying elements to exaggerate our real-world dilemmas. We might not be able to poof people out of our lives for our own gains. However, the series intertwines reality with the alternate version to create some introspective messages, and The Twilight Zone episode 5 won’t be any different.
“The Wunderkind” follows a campaign manager (portrayed by John Cho) and a child politician (portrayed by Jacob Tremblay). And, we have a feeling things will get interesting, to say the least.
This isn’t your mother’s Twilight Zone, but the reboot draws cryptic inspirations from past episodes all the same. (Not to mention, it creeps us out all the same, too.) While we’ll have to wait to see the heart of the socio-political commentary when we watch this week’s episode, the trailer to “The Wunderkind” appears to have a premise vaguely similar to “It’s a Good Life.”
Sure, “The Wunderkind” follows a kid politician during and after the campaign trail. Whereas, “It’s a Good Life” followed a child who was able to use his supernatural power to banish adult to the nothingness of a parallel dimension. However, this week’s Twilight Zone episode shares that same juvenile abuse of power. We’re definitely ready for the full scope of the series’ political commentary in episode 5.
According to the CBS All Access synopsis for “The Wunderkind,” we won’t get many clues about the oddities in this episode:
"A down-on-his-luck campaign manager (John Cho) is determined to get a kid (Jacob Tremblay) elected as the President of the United States."
The canon ambiguous synopsis only fuels the ominous tone of the show. Nonetheless, The Twilight Zone episode 5, “The Wunderkind” stars John Cho and Jacob Tremblay, who are both well-versed in the sci-fi genre. So, we’ll definitely have to make some time this Thursday to watch this next episode.
