If you need this week’s Game of Thrones’ episode boiled down into five key points, from Arya to Jon and everyone in between, here’s what you need to know.

Warning: This is Game of Thrones‘ final season, and we’re in the second episode. Beware, as we’re going into detail.

Somehow, Game of Thrones managed to make a tense episode also feel deeply romantic at points, and even funny at others.

This is for those who need to just know the big points: what happened and what it means.

Let’s start with the top, shall we?

Daenerys knows who Jon is

This one comes all the way from the end of the episode, because it’s that important. As Podrick sings of Jenny of Oldstones and everyone prepares for battle, Jon and Daenerys meet in the crypt. Since he’s standing in front of Lyanna’s statue, that’s how their conversation starts, and he spills it all — from the marriage of Lyanna and Rhaegar to the birth of their son.

For the first time, he says the name his mother gave him: Aegon Targaryen. She doesn’t seem to trust it, but she also sums the situation up: “If it were true, it would make you the last male heir of House Targaryen. You’d have a claim to the Iron Throne.”

Unfortunately, the dead arrive before the conversation can continue. All they can do is exchange nods on the walls of Winterfell.
