Evil Genius is a crime docu-series told in four parts. And, each one is equally mesmerizing. This documentary was released on Netflix in 2018 and it still is gaining popularity.

The crime Evil Genius focuses on is the pizza-bomber case, which many viewers are probably not familiar with unless they are from Erie, Pennsylvania, where the high-profile crime occurred. But, that should definitely not discourage you from giving this documentary a solid watch.

The pizza-bomber case is an interesting one. It resulted in the murder of Brian Wells and involved several conspirators. Trey Borzillieri, the creator, became fascinated with the devised murder and bank-heist that made up this crime and decided to start investigating further by interviewing witnesses, suspects, and locals of Erie. Through the making of the documentary, evidence emerged that Wells was forced to rob a bank with a bomb strapped to his neck. The nature of this crime was unlike any other in history and the scale of it made it famous.

Evil Genius is definitely a worthwhile docu-series to binge if you have some free time. Especially, if you enjoy getting an inside look at how heists were produced, created, and executed.
