Last week, Jake Peralta came face to face with his fear of fatherhood and maybe losing Amy, so where does that leave our favorites this week? Here’s where to watch this episode.
Jake and Amy celebrated their first year of marriage on last week’s Brooklyn Nine-Nine, but it wasn’t perfect. When Amy says something about having kids, it sends Jake into a bit of a panic and it takes him facing death to realize that he can be a father despite not having the best example growing up.
So what does that mean for this week’s episode? Well, we’re going to have to see Jake and Holt take on a case together. When there is a problem at Kevin’s university, the two have to go to investigate it while Terry and Amy take the precinct out for lunch.
Sounds painless enough, right? It’s Brooklyn Nine-Nine, though. We can never really trust a “simple” sounding episode. Last week, it was just a case-cation in the hospital for Jake and Amy, and ended up with Jake being confronted with his own demons and a bomb.
We’ll have to see who ends up in peril or if Jake and Amy are going to be starting their family sooner rather than later. Setting up last week’s episode not to bring it up soon seems like a very un-Mike Schur thing to do, so we may be getting a little Jake or Amy soon.
That is, once Amy continues to rise in the ranks because let’s be honest, Jake Peralta is always going to be a detective, but Amy has bigger dreams than that. We’ll have to see what this episode has in store for us, though.
