Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger preview: Let’s do all the dangerous things
Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger takes Tandy into the Darkforce dimension to find Mayhem. Piece of cake, right? Maybe not so much…
Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger doesn’t look like it’s slowing down anytime soon. With very serious bad guys loose on the street and kidnapping women, things are pretty serious.
Tandy and Tyrone aren’t taking things lightly. Even in the last episode, Tandy was wondering if Mayhem’s “shoot first, ask questions second” method is the better way to handle things.
Here is the official synopsis for this week’s episode, courtesy of Freeform:
"Still on her quest to find out more about the sex trafficking ring, Tandy takes a dangerous trip to find Mayhem, who may have the answers she is looking for. Meanwhile, Tyrone’s past actions catch up to him and put Adina in harm’s way."
I was wondering how long it would take for Tyrone’s past to catch up with him. I mean, he’s very blatantly wandering around New Orleans in broad daylight, and he’s wanted for the disappearance of a police officer.
It was bound to happen sooner or later.
The whole situation is crappy, but dragging his mother into it (like the previews show) seems like it might only make things worse. She’s a councilwoman who’s already under hot water and intense stress, and aiding her wanted son probably won’t make things better.
Still, it will be a nice family reunion, even given the circumstances. But will Tyrone try to tell her about his powers? Or will he keep her in the dark? That might also be a little too much to throw at a parent after a year-long absence.
Tyrone’s going to do the emotional lifting in this episode, but Tandy will be putting herself in the line of fire, trying to rescue Mayhem from the Darkforce dimension.
Now… will she be able to find Mayhem? Will she also somehow run into O’Connors? Can she save O’Connors before Mayhem slits his throat so she can clear Tyrone’s name?
So much hangs in the balance–not to mention Tandy putting her life on the line going into the Darkforce dimension.
Four episodes into season two, and Cloak and Dagger already has some pretty high stakes for its two main characters. We’ll just have to see how they fumble their way through!
