What we learned about Star Wars Resistance season 2 at Star Wars Celebration

COMMANDER PYRE, CAPTAIN PHASMA

Warning: This contains a description of the season 2 premiere of Star Wars Resistance. Be warned.

As many a Star Wars story does, this episode opens on what’s going on with the baddies. Gwendoline Christie is back as Captain Phasma, and worry not: Tam is here, too.

Meanwhile, on the Colossus, there’s some comedic relief right there in Neeku and the droids. The Colossus is not in great shape, and that comedy fades for a second too. All the same, there are things to be done. Keep your ears perked, too: coaxium from Solo is an issue.

Torra, Kaz, and Neeku all get a job to do on board the Colossus, and even though they have to float through the halls, they get to work. Again, there’s that same mix of comedy from Kaz and Neeku, even as they’re doing their best. There’s even a little bit of horror, too, with a cutaway that had the audience gasping, this writer included, and a conflict that gets particularly dangerous. The loss of Tam also looms large over the group.

We won’t reveal what happens to Tam, but things are sounding awfully ominous over there. Suffice it to say, Torra also proves she’s still as tough as ever (no real surprise).

For only the usual 23 minutes or so, this was absolutely riveting. We can’t wait to see what season 2 has in store for us!
