Velasco came out dressed as Torra, down to the double-buns and all. “First and foremost, how many women pilots can you count before [the] reboot?” she asked wryly, to claps and laughs from the audience. However, her excitement broke out. “She gets to say all of the things I’m too nervous to say all of the time,” she added. She couldn’t quite pick a favorite episode, but she did riff on Kaz’s quote about Synara, calling her a “dangerous woman,” then saying: “We’re all dangerous women on this show.”

“I became an actor because I wanted to be in Star Wars,” Faison said, and now he gets to play “one of the best pilots in the Star Wars universe.” Faison’s favorite episode is “Bibo,” in case you were wondering.

Moynihan did a bit of a Saturday Night Live crossover based on a question, breaking out a new Drunk Uncle voice for Orka’s very own drunk uncle. It was brief, but fantastic, and for a moment, this writer regretted that Resistance is aimed primarily at younger Star Wars fans. “The representation in this show … it’s the best,” he said for his own favorite part of Resistance.

“This is working-class,” Ridge said. “We wanted to make sure we had that conflict” between different characters and their backgrounds, with Tam having a grandfather who worked for us, Kaz as the son of a New Republic senator, and so on. That conflict is almost certainly going to continue come season 2.

Naturally, the cast and production were very quiet about season 2. “I can safely say … that season 1 and season 2 are continuous,” Ridge said, citing The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi as an example.

Then came the entire first episode of season 2. Don’t want to know anything? Then you can safely end your reading here.
