Arrow season 7 episode 18 live stream: Watch online
By Amy Woolsey
Black Siren is not messing around in a female-centric episode of Arrow this week. Here’s all the information you need on how to watch.
No wonder Oliver Queen has trust issues. For a while, Arrow led us to believe that his meeting with his half-sister would be a redemption arc – a fun story of siblings bonding and joining forces to fight crime. Last episode, however, we learned that not only is Emiko involved with a terrorist organization, but she appears to be its leader.
As Diggle mentioned, this isn’t the first time a character on the show has discovered a long-lost sibling, only for them to turn out to be nefarious. Is there any chance Oliver and Emiko can avoid the same fate? We would like to think there is more to Emiko’s story, but based on the glimpses of the future that Arrow has provided, it looks like we’re in for a bumpy ride.
Team Arrow is already starting to fall apart (again). On top of everything else, Emiko followed through on her threat to expose Laurel’s true identity. Judging by the synopsis for tonight’s episode, titled “Lost Canary,” neither the public nor the D.A. is going to take the news well. You can read the description below, courtesy of The CW:
"BIRDS OF PREY; CAITY LOTZ GUEST STARS – After being accused of murder and having her criminal past exposed, Laurel (Katie Cassidy) goes full Black Siren and teams up with an old criminal acquaintance, Shadow Thief (guest star Carmel Amit), to go on a crime spree around Star City. While Dinah (Juliana Harkavy) aims to bring Laurel in, Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) refuses to give up on her friend and tries everything to get through to her, even summoning Sara Lance (guest star Caity Lotz) for help. However, Laurel rebuffs all her efforts, forcing the former friends to face off against each other."
Rickards recently announced that she will not return for season 8, so we’re going to need all the Felicity we can get during the remaining episodes of season 7. Arrow seems willing to provide. Felicity has been at least as central to this season as Oliver, if not more, and she gets the spotlight once again in tonight’s episode.
With that said, we’re most excited for Sara’s return. Depending on how the scheduling for next season’s crossover works out, this could be our last chance to see the original Black Canary interact with Oliver, Felicity, and Laurel. Plus, Sara hasn’t really confronted Quentin’s death on Legends of Tomorrow, so “Lost Canary” should provide welcome closure on that front.
