Saturday Night Live season 44 episode 18 live stream: Watch online
By Mia Johnson
Emma Stone is returning to Saturday Night Live to host once again. But fans may be more excited to see BTS make their SNL debut.
This may be one of the few times in Saturday Night Live history where fans are more looking forward to watching the musical performance than the actual show. Yes, Emma Stone is returning to Saturday Night Live to host for the fourth time, so that’s kind of a big deal. But more importantly, BTS is performing on the Studio 8H stage for the very first time. And, really, they seem to be the first K-pop band ever to grace the SNL stage.
As the teaser for this week will tell you, BTS fans (ARMYs) are absolutely thrilled about this. And even Emma Stone herself channeled her inner ARMY in preparation for the show. Fans were quite split about how they portrayed fangirls in this promo, but at the end of the day, the fans know who they are. And they won’t let a single promo ruin the fun.
One example of some serious dedication from ARMYs is the sheer amount of fans in the standby line for SNL tickets. According to Today anchor Sheinelle Jones, fans have been lining up for days just for a chance to snag those tickets. And why shouldn’t they? It’s going to be a performance of a lifetime on a hit TV show, and BTS might even have a cameo in one of the sketches. Our hearts are beating fast already.
We’re wishing the best of luck to those fans who are waiting ever-so-patiently for the chance to see the guys. And if you’re not one of the lucky few to be able to make it into the show, you can still watch it all from home on Saturday night.
