Captain America gives the Avengers a pre-mission pep talk in new Endgame teaser

Captain America is rounding up the team in the latest Avengers: Endgame teaser. Except… someone is missing from this teaser.
Marvel released a new teaser for Avengers: Endgame on Thursday, and while it might not be a brand new clip from the movie, the teaser does show off a few new scenes that they haven’t shown before.
In the teaser, we hear a pep talk from the first Avenger, Steve Rogers. He tells the group of Avengers before him: “You know your teams; you know your missions. No mistakes, no do-overs. Look out for each other. This is the fight of our lives.”
During the pep talk, the team is all suited up in the red and white suits we’ve seen previously. Based on current speculation, these suits may be used to help the group travel through the Quantum Realm in order to defeat Thanos and undo the snap.
Unfortunately, it looks like the Hulk is missing from this group scene — quite possibly as a misdirection so we aren’t suspicious of Bruce Banner appearing as the Hulk in this film. (The Hulk spent all of Avengers: Infinity War in hiding, after all.)
You can hear Steve’s Braveheart-like speech in the clip below:
The most interesting part about Steve’s speech is in the first line. He says: “You know your teams; you know your missions.” This means the group’s going to have to split up to complete different missions, possibly by traveling via the Quantum Realm (hence they’ll need to wear Quantum Realm-ready suits to do that.)
Some have guessed that the Quantum Realm will be important for time travel, with each group going back in time to a certain moment in the MCU. And the reason they may be traveling back in time is to re-gather the Infinity Stones to create a gauntlet of their own. The biggest giveaway for this theory are two toys. One that’s an Iron Man-like Infinity Gauntlet, and the other being a sweet Thanos Build-a-Bear.
As for how the teams will be divided, one Reddit user thinks a Times Square advertisement may have given that away. The video ad shows the remaining Avengers in groups of three as follows:
- Captain America, Nebula, and Rocket
- Black Widow, War Machine and Banner
- Thor, Captain Marvel, and Hawkeye
- Iron Man, Okoye, and Ant-Man
If the advertisement correctly shows which teams are splitting up, then we have a good arrangement of heroes to work with. The only thing to find out now is where they’ll actually go, but a spoiler like that definitely won’t be revealed until the movie’s out.
Where do you think the teams will be headed? Let us know in the comments.
