What We Do in the Shadows season 1 episode 2 live stream: Watch online

FX’s What We Do in the Shadows continues this Wednesday. Here’s everything you need to know to watch “City Council” online and not miss a minute.

Pilots are weird things. They’re often awkward and full of exposition. It’s much easier to tell what a show will actually turn out to be by watching its second and third episodes, than by its first.

So, while the first episode of FX’s What We Do in the Shadows was entertaining, it didn’t really have much in the way of an actual plot. This is understandable, as it had to spend most of its time introducing its core set of characters and laying some initial ground rules for its vampire lore. (Like the fact that energy vampires exist, and all that.)

But, now that we at least know who everyone is, and the gang has a sort of mission established – world domination – it looks like it’s time for an actual story.

In the series’ second episode, “City Council,” the vampires decide to use local Staten Island politics as a step toward taking over the world, and check out a local LARP-ing group as a source of potential snacks.

The question of what sort of show this comedy will ultimately settle into being is still up in the air, but we’ll probably have a better idea of what to expect going forward after this week’s episode. (If you ask me, the trailer for this episode already feels more coherent than some of the promotional stuff for the pilot, so that’s a great sign.)
