Music can be inspiring and a great way to get out of our head. But, have you ever wondered where a song came from or what inspired an artist to come with those particular lyrics? Some times the inspiration is obvious and at other times it might take a bit more digging to learn about the history of a song. And with the help of sites like Vogue and even the lyrics of certain songs, we have a pretty good idea of which celebrities inspired some of these gems.

While artists like Taylor Swift have made their inspiration for songs relatively well-known, other artists are a lot less likely to explain what inspired them. That doesn’t mean we don’t have any ideas though, and luckily there are a lot of clues when it comes to certain songs, such as “Cry Me a River” by Justin Timberlake.
