Darci Lynne

Season 12’s Darci Lynne auditioned for America’s Got Talent back in 2017 performing “Summertime” from the opera Porgy and Bess. The performance came with a little bit of a twist: ventriloquism!

The talented singer brought along her puppet Petunia the rabbit to sing the incredible song. Her talented singing and ventriloquism skills stunned both the audience and the judges (especially Mel B, who ended up hitting the golden buzzer button that not only allows the act to move forward, but puts them in the live show round). She continued to impress the judges and became the winner of season 12.

Since her win, Lynne has appeared on fellow ventriloquists’ Jeff Dunham and Terry Fator’s shows throughout the US. She even got her own national tour called Darci Lynne and Friends where she performed throughout the US.

Most recently, she appeared on America’s Got Talent: The Champions where she was crowned the runner up and lost to magician Shin Lim. This year, Lynne plans on going on tour a second time for her new show Darci Lynne and Friends: Fresh Out of the Box. We wish Lynne all of the best in her journey and hope she continues to bring the art of ventriloquism to life.
