Chase Goehring

It isn’t an exaggeration to call Chase Goehring the next Ed Sheeran. The red-headed 21-year-old singer/songwriter made a great first impression during his season 12 audition.

He auditioned with an original song called “Hurt,” a song about him wanting to help out a girl in a bad relationship. He played the guitar while singing the song and we all got to hear that he had an incredible voice. It wasn’t until half-way through, however, that we really had a jaw-dropping moment. He began to rap the rest of the song lyrics at a fast-paced speed much like that of Ed Sheeran, and it’s so completely unexpected and unique that it just draws us in.

He made it through to the next round where he was given the Golden Buzzer by guest judge DJ Khaled. Goehring made it to the finals but didn’t make it to the top five.

He continues to make music and released an EP called Mirrors. At the end of 2018, he shared that his Spotify reached over 8 million streams in over 65 different countries. Very impressive, if we do say so ourselves. Shout out to Chase Goehring, a multi-talented artist with a whole lot of potential.
