Mulan

One of the most highly-anticipated guests at C2E2 this year was Ming-Na Wen. These days, she’s most recognizable for her role on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. But we knew her first and foremost as the voice of Mulan.

Mulan’s final outfit, worn while she’s saving the Emperor and the city, was always one of my favorites of the movie. So when I saw this cosplayer rocking the outfit – crest of the Emperor included! – I had to stop her. She dropped into her warrior pose like it was nothing.

Ariel and Prince Eric

When it comes to Disney princess cosplay, you tend to see a lot of the same dresses and looks. But this Ariel was different. With her Prince Eric, the couple perfectly embodied the moment where the mermaid and the Prince meet for the first time. She nailed Ariel’s makeshift dress, right down to the bits of rope holding it together.

Woody and Jessie

With Toy Story 4 on the way, Woody and the gang are once again at the front of everybody’s minds. It’s a fairly easy cosplay to pull of, especially if you go with pre-made outfits sold at most costume shops or Disney stores.

I stopped this couple because I saw them from the back – where they actually had pull strings. They didn’t actually work, but the attention to detail was incredible.
