This week’s episode is the Project Runway All Stars season 7 finale. After last week’s non-elimination, four designers are still in the running for the title of world champion. Which designer will be able to make a collection worthy of this season’s title?

According to Lifetime, this week’s synopsis states, “Actress Andrea Riseborough helps the judges crown a world champion as designers produce runway collection in front of New York’s fashion elite.” Since this brief statement really doesn’t provide any clues, it is anyone’s guess which designer will win.

Looking back at this season, each designer had some outstanding pieces and some questionable looks. Depending on the weekly theme, some designers shined and others lacked inspiration. If the final collection has no specific direction, the collections should be an expression of each designer’s true vision.

Since many reality television shows like the “journey” motif, Irina has had the most growth in this season. That specific comment was made in last week’s episode. While Irina tends to make bold, showy gowns, a collection could be her moment to shine.

The key for Irina to win will be her taste level. As long as the skirts aren’t too short and the fabric choices are elevated, Irina has a strong chance.

Also, Michelle should be a top contender. While her design aesthetic is quite different, she is clear on her vision. People might not like the prints or colors, but she is at least creative on the runway.

As for Dmitry and Biddell, these two designers might not have the best show. Dmitry’s looks have been repetitive all season long. Another ruffle and cut out is getting old.

Biddell, the only non-U.S. designer still standing, has offered some polished looks. It will be curious to see if he can find a way to make a statement in collection. He needs to put on a show, not just produce wearable clothes.
