Avengers: Endgame posters: Biggest reveals and shockers

New Avengers: Endgame character posters released on Twitter reveal new information about who did and didn’t survive Thanos’ snap.

New content for Avengers: Endgame is starting to really ramp up. Since the movie is only a month away, fans can finally enjoy getting new teasers and snippets. Today on Twitter, the official Marvel accounts dropped new character posters. While this normally is exciting because it gives fans a look at how favorite characters will look in the upcoming film, these posters actually gave away some possible spoilers, too.

The character posters show each individual character with the quote “Avenge the Fallen” written over their faces. Characters who are alive after Thanos’ snap are shown in full color, while characters who didn’t make it are shown in black and white.

As the posters were released on Twitter, many fans were expecting to just see those character whose fates we already knew. Characters like Bucky Barnes and Black Panther were shown with black and white posters as expected.

But then we were treated to new, revealing information. Characters whose fates we were unsure of, such as Shuri and Valkyrie, were also given the poster treatment.

A major reveal from these posters is Valkyrie’s poster being in color, meaning she’s alive somewhere in space. We fully support a Captain Marvel/Valkyrie fight scene against Thanos — and given Brie Larson and Tessa Thompson share plenty of #MarVal fan art, we’re sure they support that idea too.

Additionally, Pepper Potts has a color poster, so she’s still on Earth, presumably still hoping that Tony has survived and will return. Gwyneth Paltrow has confirmed that Endgame will be her last appearance, and her getting a poster seems to suggest she’ll have a bigger part to play than in Infinity War.

The most shocking reveal, though, is easily Shuri’s black and white poster, meaning she did not survive the snappening. Her fate has been unclear since Infinity War, with fans becoming more anxious for her safety when her image was shown briefly as one of the missing in the first Endgame trailer. Sadly, the fan favorite and Princess of Wakanda didn’t survive, and fans aren’t happy about it. (Neither are we!)

Perhaps Shuri can use her genius to help the dusted heroes get out of the Soul Stone?! We definitely hope she’s featured in the movie somehow, and she eventually makes it back with others who were snapped away.

Along with revealing new information about characters who survived and didn’t, which is a pretty big deal at this stage given how secret this entire movie has been, the posters also reiterate the dark tone that Endgame will have.

We surely hope those who survived will avenge the fallen, because we’re not sure how we’ll cope if they don’t.

We are still reeling from this Shuri reveal. What do you make of it and of these posters? Let us know in the comments!
