Project Runway season 17 episode 2 live stream: Watch online
Project Runway is going where no fashion design show has gone before. Are these body modification designs really the design future?
After dumping the boring from the season premiere, Project Runway is now taking on a fashion trend that some people may not be ready to embrace. Although body modification was an interesting celebrity photo exhibit, could this fashion trend be part of everyone’s future?
This week’s Project Runway is set to be a team challenge. While team challenges can be good for some designers (after all didn’t everyone save Frankie’s look from falling apart), the team dynamic can cause drama. But, isn’t the workroom always filled with drama?
On Bravo’s website, there is the following preview video:
Christian Siriano is proving to be a great mentor. That side eye and slanted eyebrow is more cutting than the sharpest pair of scissors. When he advises the designers to modify a look, they better listen.
Based on this clip, this particular team could be in huge jeopardy. A dated bridesmaid look isn’t going to earn anyone a fashion award. Most likely it will have those models on the don’t wear list or what were they thinking list.
Given that a team challenge happens in the second episode, it will be hard to gauge top designers from the bottom. Fans should expect some crying, some bickering and at least one good design. There is always at least one highlight from every challenge, right?
As for the body modification aspect of this challenge, it might be slightly strange. Finding a way to incorporate horns, feathers or something else into a fashionable design will take a deft hand. No one wants to look like an extra in a horror movie.
