Finally opening up to what she wants that’s healthy for her, Rebecca is taking her dreams of the stage seriously on this week’s return to Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.
As someone who has been a fan of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend from the beginning, it is sad knowing that we don’t have that many episodes left of the show. Luckily, it is back this week after over a month long hiatus. The last we saw of Rebecca, she was telling the men in her life that she needed a break from them all, realizing that it was always theater that made her happy and focusing her energy there.
This week, we get to see Rebecca doing just that. Auditioning for a community theater production, Rebecca gets to spend her time outside of her pretzel shop, finally accepting her life and what she can do with it.
The show is doing an amazing job of giving Rebecca a new agency in this new era of her life, focusing her time and energy on herself rather than the men in her life and finding her own joy. Will it continue throughout the rest of the series or will she go back to either Greg, Nathaniel, or Josh?
Maybe we’ll even get a flash-forward of what Rebecca’s life can be in the future but, for this episode, we’ll just have to see if she makes it on the cast list of the community theater production she’s auditioning for because that’s going to be fun to watch! Maybe some of her friends will audition too.
