Some rummaging through the Quantum Realm

From Ant-Man and the Wasp alone, we already know that Time Vortexes exist in the Quantum Realm. Knowing Ant-Man’s affinity for bad luck and sometimes clumsiness, he might stumble upon a Time Vortex which leads to his escape, albeit in a different time.

According to Independent, the conspicuous timestamp in Scott Lang’s message outside the Avengers base in Endgame could note that Scott accidentally traveled back in time in 1983. Since the current base wasn’t created until after the events of Age of Ultron, Scott’s message probably wasn’t recorded outside the base Tony Stark build. Instead, it might be outside Hank Pym’s old lab in the ’80s.

Why the remaining Avengers were researching Hank’s old tapes is a different and more perplexing story if this theory is true. However, beyond the Quantum Realm’s association to time travel, the Realm could hold the energy to fight and subdue Thanos. After all, Janet Van Dyne developed some healing abilities as well as other implied powers from her prolonged exposure to the Quantum Realm.

Some remaining heroes might willingly volunteer for an extended stay in the Quantum Realm in hopes of getting the same powers as Janet, or Scott might have stayed in the Realm long enough to get some of his own. Beyond time traveling and superheroes, the Quantum Realm is a wildcard in Avengers: Endgame in that it can unleash a plethora of different scenarios, new characters, and villains.
