Everything has come down to this. It’s a one-hour season finale for How to Get Away with Murder, after a season that has certainly seen its ups and downs. In some ways, Annalise Keating and crew are closer than ever to actually being caught for the murders, subsequent cover-ups, and various other crimes they’ve committed so far. In others, they’re not, because while the show has killed off main characters like Wes, the narrative could come to a screeching halt if they all get arrested.

In other words, if How to Get Away with Murder wants to see a season 6, it seems wise to let some of the characters walk free by the end of tonight’s episode, which is called “Please Say No One Else Is Dead.” If that doesn’t concern you, then we’re not sure what will, and admire you for your nerves of steel.

ABC’s finale synopsis looks like this:

"Annalise and her team need to get to the truth before the truth gets them."

Well, what is the truth? Does anyone know that answer fully? Probably not. We know that Laurel’s family is involved, and frankly, that wasn’t much of a surprise even before Laurel received her mother’s scalp (or a creepily good facsimile) in the mail. For better or for worse, the Castillos have become major players in the greater conspiracies of the show.

Don’t expect full resolution on their story, either. Even if the show doesn’t get a season 6 renewal, it’s become tradition for cliffhangers to rule the day on season finales of How to Get Away with Murder.
