Stirring Up Fun With Food by Sarah Michelle Gellar, Gia Russo

Sarah Michelle Gellar is an actress and producer best known for her role as Buffy on the ’90s hit Buffy the Vampire Slayer—though she’s worked on plenty of other major productions over the course of her career. But it turns out that Gellar has moved on from slaying vampires. Now, she’s helping her fans slay their health goals with her new cookbook, Stirring Up Fun With Food.

Released back in 2017, Stirring Up Fun With Food is a collaboration between Sarah Michelle Gellar and former Martha Stewart Living writer Gia Russo. In this cookbook, the two focus on having fun with cooking and baking, with an emphasis on creating fun meals for kids.

And while Stirring Up Fun With Food doesn’t always focus on the healthier side of cooking—in fact, many of its recipes are more concerned with taste—it does teach readers to be adventurous with their cooking. And whether you’re attempting a diet regimen or not, being open to new ideas in the kitchen is a surefire way to stick to your cooking goals.

Gellar’s and Russo’s book is another one that will enable readers to form a better relationship with the food they eat, and it encourages getting your children to forge the same sort of relationship at a young age.

In addition to that, Stirring Up Fun With Food is organized in a way that will ensure everyone using it has a great time. The recipes are ordered by month, offering something for every holiday and theme—from Halloween and Valentine’s Day to Shark Week. And there’s also a section for Star Wars Day, something that Star Wars fans can definitely appreciate.
