We could see another character suit up

Beyond suiting up as an Air Force test pilot, we might see Maria Rambeau use her Air Force training to help Carol. However, Maria isn’t the only person in her family who’s a canonical superhero. Her daughter, Monica Rambeau, is a powerful superhero who takes on multiple heroic monikers from Photon to Spectrum — and yes, even Captain Marvel.

With Monica’s critical role in Captain Marvel history, it would be a shame to not see her embrace the identity and the responsibilities that come with it. While Captain Marvel takes place primarily in the ’90s, we’re sure there will be some time jumps (given a certain co-star’s repeated mentions of time travel).

Although Monica eventually takes on the Photon alias to pay homage to her mom’s pilot nickname, we have a feeling we could see two Photons kick some Skrull butt in the Captain Marvel film (as well as two Captain Marvels). Since the film could lead to two critical Captain Marvels and two prominent members of the Avengers team, a grown-up Monica could play a scene-stealing role in Avengers: Endgame and ultimately help the team take down Thanos. Since Endgame takes place a couple decades after Captain Marvel’s primary film setting, Monica would have ample time to grow into her superhero role from her childhood cameo in the Captain Marvel film.
