Can Project Runway All Stars season 7 episode 8 bring some real-world wearable looks to this all-winners season? While this design show often applauds the eccentric and fashion-forward, can these designers find a way to make their design aesthetic appealable to the real world fashion buyer?

According to Lifetime, this week’s episode synopsis states, “Vanessa Williams and Jasmine Tookes guest judge as Project Runway winners turn daytime separates into a sensational nighttime look.”

While this theme might not be as exciting as an avant-garde challenge, these types of designs have real application. Who hasn’t gone from work to a date or a girl’s night out? In today’s super busy world, there isn’t time for a complete wardrobe change.

Often, these challenges don’t excite the designers. They want to exhibit the grand gown or the crazy materials. Still, every designer who wants to be successful needs to have a real-world buyer. Clients who can afford a $1,000 gown are few, but many people will buy a $100 skirt.

Separates are key to any woman’s wardrobe. Having options in a closet prevents fashion boredom. No one wants to be remembered for always wearing that same dress.

Given this challenge, it is difficult to pick a favorite. A few ideas seem likely, though. Dmitry will have some type of cut-out design. Irina’s skirt will probably be on the short side. Sean Kelly will either have fringe or a bold color.

Since the competition is heading toward the finale, it is difficult to determine which designers could eventually win. Michelle has had very creative designs, but her looks tend to be more funky/artistic. Anthony Ryan has really pushed himself this season. Either of these two designers should have a strong chance at the finals.

As for the other designers, it could be anyone’s guess. While this season highlighted international designers, it seems likely that an American will win. But, then again, nothing is predictable in these reality shows.
