Jurassic Park – T-Rex

You don’t need to be well-versed in the Jurassic Park or Jurassic World lore or overanalyze the films or texts to be an official member of the Jurassic Park fandom. After all, our fascination with dinosaurs and any prehistoric ornithological creatures connect everyone who loves the films.

If you say you weren’t a dino kid who either wanted to grow up to be a paleontologist or a velociraptor, you’re lying to yourself and your future Funkos. And, you don’t want to start your growing collection with lies, do you?

Like us, the extended Jurassic Park franchise probably re-energized your appreciation for these deadly turkey ancestors. After watching Jurassic World, the velociraptor (Blue specifically) Funko might be the first cinematic dinosaur that pops into your mind. However, the T-rex has always been a canon unlikely anti-hero in the franchise.

Beyond Rexie’s epic mid-volcano eruption fight sequence in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, she also defended her human pets against a pack of raptors in the first Jurassic Park film. In any Jurassic-related production, she is clearly a worthy member of the Theropod family.

We get it: The T-rex didn’t live until the Jurassic period and primarily ruled the Cretaceous period. Most of the dinos in the Jurassic Park franchise didn’t live during the titular prehistoric time period. Even if the Tyrannosaurus wasn’t a part of the Jurassic period, she’s the perfect protective Funko to start your horde.
