Star Wars Resistance season 1 episode 16 live stream: Watch online

The survivors of Tehar return in the next all-new episode of Star Wars Resistance, but they land themselves in big trouble with the First Order. Here’s how to watch it.

Last time we saw Eila and Kel, they were hiding in engineering and petting Neeku’s lost pet, Bibo. Eila warned Neeku and Tam that a giant sea creature would come after Neeku’s new friend. It was such an ominous prediction, and even though she was referring to Bibo’s mom, you could also interpret it as a warning of the First Order’s occupation on the Colossus.

Before that, the two kids showed up on Kaz’s radar as bounties and as a quick way to make money. Being that Kaz is a good person at heart, instead of turning them in for money, he helped them fake their deaths as a way to get the First Order off their backs. The plan miraculously worked, and the two children have been living peacefully with the Chelidae in the lower levels of the Colossus. Well, until now.

According to the official synopsis of “The New Trooper”:

"When Kel and Eila seek out Kaz’s help after knocking out a stormtrooper, Kaz dons the trooper’s armor to protect the kids and spy on the First Order."

Kel and Eila are good kids, so if they knocked out a stormtrooper, it was done for a good reason. The trooper probably discovered them in engineering. Or worse, the trooper recognized them as the two runaways in “The Children from Tehar,” undoing the hard work they’ve done to keep themselves hidden in the shadows and out of sight from the First Order.

As for Kaz wearing the stormtrooper armor, we can imagine that plan going downhill pretty quickly. Kaz is a beautiful soul, always willing to help and being there for others. The thing is he’s accident prone and calls attention to himself all the time. It doesn’t matter where he is or what he’s doing, he will bump into something, he will cause suspicion, and he will put himself in some kind of danger.

At the same time, Kaz does have a knack for getting out of sticky situations because he’s a fantastic problem solver. He knows how to come up with a solution in a pinch. Sure, the execution of some of his plans needs some work, but the point is he’s able to dig himself out of the hole he puts himself in. And if he can’t for whatever reason, he has his friends to help him.

With Kaz walking around as a stormtrooper, it will be interesting to find out what kind of secrets he’ll learn and what he could potentially send out to the Resistance. He hasn’t spoken with Poe Dameron since “Station Theta Black,” and with the First Order occupying the station, Kaz will no doubt have a difficult time sending whatever intel he manages to find. Unless he uses First Order technology. It’d be a risky move, but it’s a possibility. And knowing Kaz, he’d be determined to make the most out of being a trooper for a day.
