Gina Linetti may be gone but that doesn’t mean that Brooklyn Nine-Nine must stop. This week, we’re looking at the return of Doug Judy and more.

Though we may have lost Gina Linetti, Brooklyn Nine-Nine must go on. The show, which has gone through many changes in its six-season run, has always remained, at its core, about these group of coworkers who see each other as family.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine had to say goodbye to their resident dance captain last week when Gina Linetti went on to bigger and better things. It doesn’t make it any easier but at least we know that Gina is taking time for herself and her family while trying to make the world her oyster. And, it’s Gina. This doesn’t mean we won’t see her anymore. She’s just not working for Holt any longer.

So what does this week’s episode have in store for us? Well, a little bit of Doug Judy.

For the past six seasons, Jake Peralta has idiotically trusted Doug Judy and, with each new encounter, Judy has escaped and left Jake angry and wanting to arrest him even more. Though Doug Judy constantly helps him, that doesn’t mean it isn’t without a friendship.

Jake and Doug get along in a very peculiar way. They have always been able to talk about movies and exist in the same world easily. It probably isn’t that exciting for Jake because, at the end of the day, he still has to arrest Doug Judy for being the Cadillac Bandit.

Will this be the time that Jake finally gets Doug Judy? Or will he, yet again, be thwarted by Doug and left searching once more? We’ll have to wait and see.
