I Am the Night shares the story of Fauna Hodel (India Eisley), a girl who could be the key to unlocking the Black Dahlia murder. When Jay Singletary (Chris Pine) discovers her, he becomes obsessed with learning as much as he can about Hodel.

But the family isn’t exactly too happy with him and Fauna looking into this story. While she doesn’t have a direct connection to the Black Dahlia, she may be connected to the man who killed her and possibly a whole slew of other women.

It’s a fascinating story to us all still because there is still so much we don’t know about George Hodel and his actions. We don’t even know for sure if he was the man who killed the Black Dahlia and we may never know.

When it comes to I Am the Night, we see how so many people do not want this story revisited. Hollywood nor the police nor the families of those affected want anyone looking into this case… which is a huge hint that Jay and Fauna are probably on the right track.

With just as many twists and turns as the Black Dahlia murder itself, I Am the Night is a beautiful show that keeps us intrigued and ready to learn more about Fauna Hodel. Also, Patty Jenkins offers more of the glorious Chris Pine, which we’ll never say no to.
