Will the Super Bowl have a new Avengers: Endgame trailer?
Fans are hoping that a new trailer will be released during the Super Bowl this Sunday. Here’s what we know and what we don’t.
The Super Bowl is this Sunday, and while for some people this event is very important because of the actual game being played, for others, there are different concerns. Some people just watch the game to see the commercials, and for fans of comic book movies, the Super Bowl often means new teaser trailers with new footage.
Many Marvel fans wonder if they will see any new content from Avengers: Endgame. This would be consistent with the marketing for Avengers: Infinity War; last year, a second trailer for Infinity War dropped at the Super Bowl. Many fans are hoping that this year will be the same for Endgame.
So far, we have only gotten the one trailer for the film that came out near the start of December. It’s been a couple months, and people are looking for more content. Since Endgame has been so secretive and since official news has been so slow to come out, fans are starting to get antsy once again.
We all definitely deserve a trailer as the film is less than three months away. Even if the trailer only has a little bit of new content, it’s definitely better than nothing. Of course, the guidelines and precedence for past Marvel films doesn’t necessarily mean that Marvel will use the same strategy for Avengers: Endgame. As of yet, there isn’t any official news on if there will be a new trailer.
However, a tweet by Mark Ruffalo did give fans a reason to speculate. This tweet could just be a fun nod to a running joke about how the Avengers hide their identities using baseball caps and sunglasses, or maybe it’s a hint?
Others on social media have shared rumors about what they think will happen. Keep in mind that these are just rumors, so take what is said with a grain of salt. Most people including some with a certain amount of insider knowledge seem to think there will be a TV spot during the Super Bowl.
It does seem like Marvel likes to troll us all lately with promotional materials related to Avengers: Endgame, so we wouldn’t be surprised if the spot doesn’t contain much of anything new. But, we are going to cross our fingers for some new scenes, since we’ve all been patiently waiting for so long with so little in return.
Another positive thing to note that could bode well for a Super Bowl trailer with new footage is that the first Endgame trailer was fairly consistent with the timing of the release of the first Infinity War trailer. The first Infinity War trailer came out near the end of November with the Endgame trailer dropping a little over a year later.
Hopefully, Marvel sticks with the program and gives us some new content this weekend! We have all been put through enough related to this movie already.
