Get the look: Lulu’s floral high-low dress
In April, Meghan Markle wore one of her most affordable dresses of the year. For the Invictus Games Reception, the future duchess donned a floral green crepe dress from Self Portrait. And while the dress was available for quite some time after she stepped out in this flowy confection, sadly it is no longer for sale.
But, that doesn’t mean you can’t splurge on a similar dress from the same designer. As the Independent reported, Self Portrait is a “British high street label already beloved by Irish shoppers.” While many of their dresses are less structured, the floral crepe dress the duchess wore featured a bodice with more structure and a mini skirt with pleats.
While most of the pictures of the duchess showed her wearing a black blazer over the dress, we have to point out that this dress features a cold-shoulder type sleeve, whereas our pick features long sleeves. With the green floral crepe dress being sold out (and a bit pricey), we chose another floral dress that we think Meghan Markle would approve of.
If you’re looking for something similar, our pick from Lulu’s gives you that floral flirty vibe, even if the length is a tad longer than Markle’s. The flowers on this dress pop against the green, with pinks and yellows — making it the perfect springtime wear, similar to when Markle wore her dress. Plus, the ruffled, high-low hem makes this dress even more fun, where you’d only have to pair it with a simple heel or flat like Markle to keep complete the look.
