Game of Thrones

There’s no bigger show in the world right now, and it’s hard to imagine a more anticipated global spectacle than Game of Thrones’ final run of episodes. Literally everyone wants to know how HBO will wrap up its most popular, profitable water-cooler hit, particularly those of us who might harbor just a few worries about whether author George R.R. Martin will ever actually finish his megaselling A Song of Ice and Fire novels. (Not to be all Debbie Downer about it, but this could be the only ending we ever get. In short: Don’t screw this up, guys. Please.)

As Game of Thrones heads into its final season, the stakes have never been higher. The fate of all Westeros hangs in the balance as an army of the dead – complete with a zombie ice dragon – approaches from the North. But that’s hardly the only thing going on, as the series’ longstanding battle for power between warring families and factions continues. Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen have finally gotten together, but who wants to tell them they’re actually related? Can Cersei be trusted in any real way? When will we get our Jon and Arya reunion? Is Cleganebowl finally going to happen? Will someone somewhere finally recognize that Sansa Stark is actually the greatest? And, most importantly, when all is said and done, who will live and who will die?

Given that this is the show’s final season, the body count is likely to be enormous, and contain more than a few fan favorites. But since each of the series’ final six episodes is currently slated to clock in at over an hour in length, it’s certainly going to be one wild ride to the end.
